Transition.

Fall is always about transition for me.... especially in September. It's normally the time I start mixing my warm colors and textures such as suede and light weight sweaters. I also try to  enjoy the last full month of bare legs free of goose bumps and open toed shoes and the days where I can leave home without a jacket.

Smooth hair.


I have been using the Aveda Smooth infusion style prep and Glossing Straightener for over 2 years to blow out my naturally curly hair. It has given me the best results and it has helped  keep the integrity of my curls protected from heat damage. 
If you want smooth hair that not only looks smooth but is protected from the "route" you have to take to get your hair smooth... than you will love Aveda Smooth Infusion line as much as I do! 
I am an Aveda Professional Hairstylist, and yes I am very biased to this brand because its what I choose to stand behind....with that said one of the many reasons why  I stand behind it is because of the quality of the products. 
The Smooth Infusion system is one of my personal favorites to use on my hair and my clients who are seeking smooth frizz-free results.  It has a product for all hair types, so it won't weigh you hair down. Each product is concentrated and you do not need much to get amazing results. And each styling product contains heat protection, that will ensure the integrity of your hair. (So now you can see why I love it!)
The aroma is a very pleasant citrus floral blend, and contains aloe for moisture and wheat protein to help protect your hair. Each product delivers up to 12-hours of humidity protection. And the products are naturally derived. 
Smooth Infusion is a complete system ( shampoo, conditioner and multiple styling products) but the products I have pictured are what I have in my current personal blow-dry routine.

For my Blow-outs I love to use these two products the Style Prep and Glossing straightener. ( I use a dime size in equal parts of both mixed together on my towel dried hair. Then I proceed with blowdrying and flat ironing.) The Nourishing styling Creme I use a pea size amount all over as a substitute to the above from time to time, but my hair has its best results with these two products.

I love to use the  Smooth Infusion Masque as a deep treatment. I only need a quarter size amount to give me the best lasting results. It makes my hair feel very soft!

Clean.

     Clean and simple just never gets old to me. So good that minamilism is also fashion forward. I absolutely love a great jumper! It breaks the expectancy of a dress or seperates, and stating the obvious, it's easy. The one criteria for any jumper is proper fit. I purchased this one at Tjmaxx some time ago but you can find them in all different styles in varies stores. (Bag: Michael Kors, shoes: Zara, watch: Michael Kors) because I shop in all different stores at all times of the year I included some links on how you can shop a similar look with other affordable items.

A New Year...Accepting New Clients!

I hope everyone has had a great start to their 2015! Pardon my absence, as I enjoyed my holidays and have been getting adjusted back in the workforce. I'm so happy to share the salon that I am working with  MSALONEXPERIENCE Aveda Salon, located in Lake Mary, Florida. Just a bit about my background, I am a  trained Aveda Alumni and Licensed in Cosmetology for 9yrs, five of those years I was an Educator at the Aveda Institute teaching cosmetology. Being behind the chair as a full-time  hairstylist has been so great, and I'm enjoying every day. The salon is Perfect! As it is a luxury salon each guest we great with a warm welcome, and offer assorted beverages, every hair service my guest receive complimentary stress relieving neck and shoulder massage or hand massage. Also a thorough consultation discussing hair needs and desired outcome, all before the actual hair service starts! The salon environment is pleasant and relaxing and I am so happy to be apart of the team!

Aviation Trending: Fresh Look

Aviation jackets have made their mark on fashion this fall. Something is always cool and refreshing to see ladies sporting menswear or a "boyfriend" look. Not to mention being draped in over-sized garments can be cozy and comfortable, so adding chic to the list is a bonus. The base of this out fit is all black, which is a favorite of mine and the aviation jacket is my Husband's and was a gift to him from his Dad who was in the Navy.  Total score on my end because I get to rock the "aviation trend" for less and when its over it will go back in his closet as a keep sake.

Fresh Look: Shopped his closet

Sometimes I go into hubby's closet just to "check" the inventory.... Which usually means see what I can incorporate in my wardrobe at a later date. I catalog in my head the shirts I can use, hats, and even the occasional jacket. His closet has been perfect for me because my closet is mostly ultra feminine and not always as relaxed. This plaid shirt has been in his closet for years. He stopped wearing it a while back but keeps it around, and I have worn it countless times throughout the years. Well like they say, "Whats his is mine".  Right?!
